We stand behind everything we make

At Ecobuild Developments Ltd., we take pride in crafting furniture that’s built to last. Every piece leaves our factory in Dhaka after careful quality inspection. But we also understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned a piece arrives damaged, dimensions look different in your space, or the item simply isn’t what you expected.
This policy exists to give you a clear, honest picture of what you can expect if you ever need to return or exchange a product. No vague language, no surprises.
Quick note for custom orders: Because custom-made furniture is built specifically for you in your chosen size, color, and finish these items follow a different return process. See the Custom Orders section below for full details.
Return Eligibility

What can you return?

The product arrived with visible physical damage caused during transit (scratches, dents, broken parts)
There is a manufacturing defect uneven surfaces, loose joints, misaligned drawers, or structural instability
You received the wrong item model, color, or finish doesn’t match your confirmed order
A part or accessory listed in the product description is missing from the delivery
To be eligible, the item must be:
In its original, undamaged condition not assembled or installed (unless the defect only becomes visible after assembly)
Reported to us within 7 days of the delivery date with photos of the issue
Accompanied by your original order number or invoice
Non-Returnable Items

When a return isn’t possible

We want to be upfront with you. The following situations are not eligible for returns or refunds:
The product arrived with visible physical damage caused during transit (scratches, dents, broken parts)
Items that have been assembled, installed, or modified after delivery
Products showing damage from improper use, overloading, or environmental exposure (water, excessive humidity)
Requests made after the 7-day return window has passed
Items returned without prior approval from our customer support team
Clearance or sale items marked as final sale at the time of purchase
⚠️ Change of mind returns are not accepted for furniture items. We strongly recommend reviewing product dimensions, photos, and material details carefully before placing your order. If you have questions about any product, call us before buying we’re happy to help.
Custom & Bespoke Orders

Specially made, just for you

A significant portion of what we do at Ecobuild is custom work furniture designed and manufactured to your exact specifications. Because these items are built uniquely for your space, we have a slightly different process:
Custom orders cannot be returned or refunded unless there is a manufacturing defect or a significant deviation from the agreed design specifications (size, material, or finish).
If your custom piece arrives with a verifiable defect or doesn’t match what was agreed in writing, we will repair or replace the affected part at no additional cost. We take full responsibility for our craftsmanship.
Before placing a custom order: We’ll always share a detailed specification sheet for your approval. Please review dimensions, materials, and finishes carefully. Once production begins, changes may not be possible.
Return Process

How to start a return

The process is straightforward. Here’s exactly what to do:

Contact us within 7 days of delivery

Send us clear photos of the issue

Take 3–5 clear photos showing the damage or defect from different angles. Include one photo of the full product and one close-up of the specific problem area. Send these via WhatsApp or email.

Wait for approval confirmation

Our team will review your case within

2 business days

and send you a Return Authorization (RA) confirmation. Do not send the item back before receiving this confirmation.

Arrange pickup or drop-off

For large furniture items, we’ll schedule a pickup from your location (within Dhaka). For smaller items, you may be asked to bring them to our factory in Bhasantek, Dhaka. We’ll cover return shipping costs for valid defect-based returns.

Receive your refund or replacement

Once we inspect the returned item, we’ll process your refund or dispatch your replacement. We’ll keep you updated at every step.

Refund Timeline

When will you get your money back?

Refund timelines depend on how you originally paid. Here’s what to expect after your return is approved and the item is inspected:
bKash / Nagad Refunded within 3–5 business days to your original mobile banking account
Bank Transfer Refunded within 5–7 business days via direct bank deposit
Credit Card / EMI Refunded within 7–10 business days; EMI cancellation may take additional processing time depending on your bank
Cash on Delivery Refunded via bKash or bank transfer within 3–5 business days after approval
Shipping or delivery charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong item sent or manufacturer defect). Refunds are processed to the original payment method only.
Product Warranty

What’s covered under warranty

All Ecobuild furniture products come with a 1-year structural warranty from the date of delivery. This covers:
Structural failures joints, frames, or bases that break under normal use conditions
Laminate or veneer delamination that occurs without physical abuse or water exposure
Hardware failure hinges, drawer slides, or handles that stop functioning under normal use
Manufacturing defects discovered after delivery and normal assembly
The warranty does not cover:
Damage caused by water, excessive moisture, direct sunlight, or heat sources
Surface wear, minor scratches, or color fading from everyday use
Damage from overloading (exceeding the weight capacity stated on the product page)
Damage from relocation, improper disassembly, or third-party modifications
Before placing a custom order: We’ll always share a detailed specification sheet for your approval. Please review dimensions, materials, and finishes carefully. Once production begins, changes may not be possible.
Damaged Deliveries

Received something damaged?

We take packaging seriously every item is wrapped and protected before dispatch. But accidents during transit do happen. Here’s what to do:
At the time of delivery: If you notice visible external packaging damage, note it on the delivery receipt before the delivery team leaves. This helps us process your claim faster.
After unpacking: If you discover damage after the delivery team has left, take photos immediately and contact us within 24 hours. Damage claims reported after 48 hours of delivery may be harder to process.
For transit-damaged items, we will arrange either a free replacement or a repair visit to your location whichever is faster and more practical for you.
Exchanges

Want a different product instead?

We currently offer exchanges for defective or incorrect items only. If you’d like a different model or color because of a change of preference, we’re unable to accommodate that as an exchange but you’re welcome to place a new order.
For defect-based exchanges, we’ll arrange the pickup and delivery of the replacement at no extra cost to you. Exchanges are subject to the same 7-day reporting window as returns.
Policy Updates

Changes to this policy

We may update this Return & Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and operational reasons. When we do, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
This policy applies to all orders placed on ecobuildbd.com. Orders placed through our showroom or via direct corporate contracts may have different terms as agreed at the time of purchase.
